We have, indeed, recieved a blessing from God this evening. Our 3 yr old’s neurologist called with the news that Gabe’s MRI came back normal! God is good!
He will still need to be on anti-convulsants because his EEG results showed him at risk for having more seizures. So, he’ll need the meds until he can produce a normal EEG. He will be having one done annually.
I know that there are so many things to be greatful for. So many ways to praise our infinitly wise God. Right now the only words that come to mind are…God is good.
Thanks to all of you who have interceeded in prayer for our family and especially our little Gabriel Luther.

Gabe did well during his MRI. Owen was happy and smiley almost the entire time also, so he was pretty low-maintenance. My mother came too, to lend her arms for Owen. It was such a blessing to have her help.
I’ll update again in about 3 to 5 days. That’s when we’ll know what the results of the MRI were.
O Father, you are sovereign in all the worlds you made; your mighty words were spoken and light and life obeyed. Your voice commands the seasons and bound the ocean’s shore, sets stars within their courses and stills the tempest’s roar.
O Father you are sovereign in all afairs of man; no pow’rs of death or darkness can thwart your perfect plan. All chance and change transending, supreme in time and space, you hold your trusting children secure in your embrace.
O Father, you are sovereign, the Lord of human pain, transmutting earthly sorrows to gold of heavenly gain. All evil overruling, as none but Conqu’ror could, your love pursues it’s purpose- our soul’s eternal good.
O Father, You are sovereign! We see you dimly now, but soon before your triumph earth’s every knee shall bow. With this glad hope before us our faith springs up anew: our sovereign Lord and Savior, we trust and worship you!

Whate’er my God ordains is right: his holy will abideth; I will be still whate’er he doth, and follow where he guideth. He is my God; though dark my road, he holds me that I shall not fall: wherefore to him I leave it all.
Whate’er my God ordains is right: he never will deceive me; he leads me by the proper path; I know he will not leave me. I take, content, what he hath sent; his hand can turn my griefs away, and patiently I wait his day.
Whate’er my God ordains is right: though now this cup, in drinking, may bitter seem to my faint heart, I take it, all unshrinking. My God is true; each morn anew sweet comfort yet shall fill my heart, and pain and sorrow shall depart.
Whate’er my God ordains is right: here shall my stand be taken; though sorrow, need, or death be mine, yet am I not forsaken. My Father’s care is round me there; he holds me that I shall not fall: and so to him I leave it all.
Will everyone who reads my blog please say a prayer for Gabriel?
Thank you.

Just got this forward…
JOB DESCRIPTION- MOM
If it had been presented this way, no one would have done it!!!!POSITION :
Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Momma, Ma
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often
chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and
organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will
include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some
overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on
rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel
expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily,
until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also,
must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero
to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the
backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face
stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously
sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain
calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects . Must
have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages
and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an
embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a
half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always
hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete
accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also
include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.
POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT &PROMOTION:
Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years,
without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that
those in your charge can ultimately surpass you
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :
None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually
exhausting basis.
WAGES AND COMPENSATION :
Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon
payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will
help them become financially independent. When you die, you give t hem
whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that
you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.
BENEFITS :
While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement,
no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies
limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you
play your cards right.

Has anyone else noticed that when ever someone yawns, everyone who sees it also yawns? I think I may have figured out why…
Theory # 1: As the initial yawner opens his mouth and inhales all the air in front of his mouth, he creates a vaccuum directly in front of him, which in turn disruptes the perfectly balanced air pressure around him. Since we are created in the image of God, we consciosly and subconsciously desire balance and unity. Our subconscious selves then try to return our immediate environment to balance and we yawn to achieve this.
Theory # 2: When we see someone yawn, it reminds us how tired we ourselves are and we yawn.

My hubby is a genius. He and I are both trying to shed some extra pounds, and he came up with an excellent way to keep each other accountable. He came up with a diet plan which we have affectionatly named the “I Love My Spouse Diet”.
It’s simple…Anything I put into my mouth, I give my hubby permission to put into his mouth. And anything hubby puts into his mouth, he gives me permission to put into my mouth. Since I love my hubby and don’t want him to eat a Six Dollar Guacamole burger with bacon from Carl’s Jr, I cannot eat it (although they are insanely yummy!). Since we both want to see each other lose weight, we must eat in a way that the other CAN lose weight. AND we must be honest with each other and not hide food! Brilliant. I’ll probably eat a can of green beans for lunch…hmm…yummy?

My birthday is tomorrow, same day as Mother’s Day.
I asked my 2 1/2 year old son, “Do you know that tomorrow is mommy’s birthday?”
“M-hmm.”
“Do you know how old mommy is going to be?”
Very excitedly, Aaron says, “Yes! You are going to be sixteen!”
I love my son =)
